Methodology
Every category on this site follows the same structure: a published, weighted rubric specific to that category, scored 0-10 per criterion, sourced facts instead of vendor marketing copy, and at least one flagged consideration per company.
No paid placements, ever
No vendor has paid, or can pay, for placement, a higher score, or removal from a list. Outbound links are not affiliate links.
Scoring
Each category has its own rubric — typically 6-7 criteria, each independently scored 0-10 and weighted to a published percentage. Weighted scores are shown out of 100 for readability. Weights and criteria differ by category because the things that matter for a practice-management platform aren't the things that matter for a patient-financing provider — see each category's own "Our ranking methodology" section for its specific rubric.
Sourcing
Facts are pulled from independent sources — G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, BBB — and from vendor-published pricing pages, cited directly on each entry. Where a claim only exists on the vendor's own site (no independent confirmation), we say so rather than presenting it as verified fact.
What stands out / Worth checking
Every company profile splits its sourced facts into what stands out (a real strength or differentiator) and what's worth checking before you commit (a limitation, gap, or unverifiable claim). Every company, including #1 in its category, has at least one item in the second bucket — a flawless-looking entry isn't hidden, it's a sign we haven't found the trade-off yet.
Re-ranking, same companies
Several companies appear in more than one category (SpaKinect and Qualiphy, for instance, appear in Telehealth, GFE Providers, and PSO / Medical Director Services) and are scored independently each time against that category's own rubric. A company can rank #1 in one category and much lower in another — that's the rubric working as intended, not an inconsistency.
